The babies the week of intake
A nest of Northern Saw-whet owl babies fell 30 feet to the ground when their tree was cut down. The little babies, no more than 4 inches tall, were transported to Wildcare for care. Wildcare attempted to reunite them with their parents by placing them back in a nest box; however, the parents did not return. The babies are being raised at Wildcare, where they have been growing fast for the last 5 weeks. They are flying and beginning to hunt on their own and will be preparing for their release back to the wild soon.
